Wonky is the magician's office show for adult audiences. Around 45 minutes of close-up magic, mind reading and comedy, in a room that seats 18.
WHAT IS WONKY?
Wonky combines a magician's sleight of hand with a mentalist's interactive mind magic. I use magic to set your senses off balance, and by the end of the show your mind is as wonky as the beams of the house.
My modern, technically demanding magic challenges even a sceptic's powers of perception, and with a mentalist's techniques I read thoughts with a twinkle in my eye. It happens an arm's length or two away, not far off on a stage.
The way I perform is funny, participatory and interactive. I don't tell jokes. I've written Wonky so that the humour comes naturally out of the situation as I work with the volunteers. It feels spontaneous, but it has been thought through carefully in advance.

When I perform at corporate events, I adapt my magic to the room and the occasion. At the magician's office I don't have to compromise. I've designed the room as an ambitious and singular theatre, one that lifts the magic to a new level and lets me build a show of real theatrical quality.
WHO IS PERFORMING?
I'm Johannes Malkamäki, a magician, mentalist and host. I've performed comic, warm-hearted magic for many hundreds of companies across Finland, and hosted a good number of high-profile events.
Comedy and interaction always come first in my magic. As a performer I create the feeling of a mysterious living room, where the whole audience can settle into good company and wonderful entertainment. We laugh, we wonder, and we enjoy it together.
